Michael Moynihan (British)

Moynihan was born in 1919. He was rejected for service in World War 2 on medical grounds. He became a newspaper reporter, joining the News Chronicle in 1942. He became the youngest war correspondent. He was accredited to the 2nd Tactical Air Force in Normandy, the US 9th Army during the Battle of the Bulge, and the British Pacific Fleet during the last months of the war. In 1960 he joined The Observer, then 2 years later the Sunday Times.
