Frank Richards D.C.M., M.M. (British)
Richards served with the Royal Welch Fusiliers from 1901 to 1909, and was called up as a reservist in 1914. He fought with his old battalion, the 2nd RWF, in every battle. He was never wounded. He wrote this book because he did not recognise officers' memoirs. The poet Robert Graves, who was one of the officers described in the book, helped him to publish it, and he became a lifelong friend.RCC6056 Old Soldiers Never Die (Richards)
