Pat Barker (British)

Barker was born in 1943. She was educated at the L.S.E. and had been a teacher of history and economics. She was a prolific novelist. "The Eye of the Door" won the Guardian Fiction Prize and "The Ghost Road" won the Booker Prize. (These two novels are part of the Regeneration Trilogy, which is, of course, in the Collection.
