Alec Weir (British)

Weir's grandfather, Major Frank Ernest Lewis MC DCM, was the Glasgow Highlanders' Regimental Sergeant Major in 1914 and later became their Adjutant. A desire to find out more about his grandfather's military experiences prompted Weir to begin the research that led to this book.
