Colonel W.C. Spackman
Spackman was educated at Birmingham University and St. Barts Medical School in London. He entered the Indian Medical Service in 1913. After the war he became a specialist in tropical medicine. He was a Fellow of the Royal College of Gynaecologists. He held numerous senior appointments in India until 1945, then he worked for the Allied Relief Commission in Italy and then as a consultant in the U.K. He died in 1975.
