Wyn Griffith
Griffith was a civil servant with the Inland Revenue. He joined the Army as a private on the outbreak of the war and was commissioned soon after with the 15th Royal Welch (sic) Fusiliers. He served throughout the war, latterly on the staff. It was his experiences during the 38th (Welsh) Division's attempt to capture Mametz Wood that led to his book. He later became Vice-Chair of the Arts Council, as well as a noted broadcaster.RCC6869 Up to Mametz (Griffith)
