Kate Caffrey
Caffrey was a Military Historian. She also wrote, as well as the book/s attributed to her in this Collection, "Out of the Mid-day Sun", an account of the fall of Singapore in World War 2. Her father volunteered in the Rifle Brigade in 1915, was twice mentioned in despatches, and won the MC. Her uncle, and her father's cousin were both majors in the Manchester Regiment.
