Commander The Honourable Barry Bigham VC, RN

Bingham was the Commodore of the 13th Flotilla of destroyers at the Battle of Jutland. They intercepted and attacked a German force of a light cruiser and 15 destroyers. Bingham was the captain of the Nestor, it was sunk and the survivors, including Bingham, were picked up by the German destroyer S16. He spent the rest of the war in a POW camp.
