Professor Mustafa Aksakal
Aksakal was Associate Professor of History at Georgetown University and had previously been an Assistant Professor in the Department of History, American University, Washington DC. His dissertation (on this book, presumably?) won the Bayard and Cleveland E. Dodge Memorial Prize for Best Dissertation in Near Eastern Studies at Princeton.
