Clayton Donnell

Donnell had served in the U.S. Air Force. He had a degree in history and had studied military history and fortress engineering for over 30 years. He lived in Europe for many years and studied the architecture and archaeology of the most renowned fortress systems of Belgium, France and Germany. He created the first internet site for the Maginot Line and also one for the fortresses and Battle of Liege. He published a number of books on fortress systems.
