Holger Afflerbach

Afflerbach was Professor and Chair of Central European History at the University of Leeds. He had been awarded his Ph.D by the Heinrich-Heine-Universtat in Dusseldorf. He had taught in Dusseldorf. Before coming to Leeds, from 2002 to 2006 he was DAAD Professor of Modern German History at Emory University in Atlanta. Amongst his specialities was the study of both World Wars.
