Reverend Robert F Wearmouth MA BSc PhD FMH HCF
Wearmouth was brought up in a mining family in Tyneside. He went down the mines when he was 12, then he volunteered for service in the Boer War, joining The Northumberland Fusiliers. He later became an ordained minister in the Methodist Church, and during the war he became a padre. He lived until the late Eighties, writing a number of books/pamphlets on various religious and sociological subjects.
