Professor Ralph Hodder-Williams
Hodder-Williams was a Professor at the University of Toronto who enlisted at Montreal on 17th June 1915 with the 2nd University Company, and served with the regiment in France and Belgium in 1915/16. He was wounded on 15th September 1916 at the Battle of Courcelette and was struck off the strength on 20th September 1916. He was the grandson of Matthew Hodder, one of the founders of Hodder and Stoughton, in 1868. During the war, he was known simply as "Williams".
