Lieutenant Colonel C. C. R. Murphy
Research on this author has gleaned very little. One source suggests that he was attached to the 1/30th Punjabis, although we know, as well, that he was also in the Suffolk Regiment himself. We also find him at Gallipoli on 7th November 1918, deputized as Advance Allied Representative, boarding the Turkish Destroyer Basra at Chanak and then arriving at Galata Bridge Wharf in Constantinople to start arrangements for fulfilling the Armistice.RCC7373 The History of the Suffolk Regiment, 1914 - 1927 (Murphy)
