Peter Lyon

Lyon was a Master Mariner, and a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Navigation, and of the Nautical Institute. He began his career with the Blue Funnel Line in Liverpool, then came ashore to join the Port of London Authority before moving to the U.K. National Ports Council, becoming their Nautical Adviser. He then co-founded and became the managing partner of a specialist maritime research and consultancy practice based in London.
