David Martin
Martin went to Shrewsbury School and the University of Cardiff, where he specialised in the Roman Army and completed an MA in Heritage Studies. He then spent 5 years on The Somme and at Ypres as a Tour Guide. He had always been interested in military history.
Martin edited his father, Selby Martin's, autobiography: "From Communism to Community - Memoirs of a Diplomat and Teacher" (2017). His second book, about the 66th East Lancs Division, aided the Royal British Legion and the LMS Patriot National Memorial Engine.
