Stephen Pope
Pope was an Army officer for almost 40 years. He first served with the Wessex Regiment, then the Royal Corps of Transport, seeing service in the U.K. and Germany. He started to gain an understanding of the lives of the tank crewmen when serving as a Senior Logistics Officer at the British Army's Armoured Training Centre in Canada.
