Brigadier E.A. James OBE, TD
James was born in 1899. He joined the Royal Warwickshire Regiment on leaving school and then transferred to the Royal Engineers Signal Service, where he gained a commission. In the Great War he was gassed. He commanded a Cable Section of 2 Corps Signal Company. He remained in the Signals until after the Second World War.
