Stephen Bourne

Bourne was born in the London Borough of Southwark and was raised on a housing estate on Peckham Road, leaving school at the age of 16 with no qualifications. He became a community historian, self taught, and learning his craft by writing for Black British journals including the newspaper The Voice.
