General Max Hoffmann

Hoffmann was the brilliant German Staff Officer who devised the plan to encircle and crush the invading Russian Armies at Tannenberg and The Masurian Lakes. Hoffmann was always bitter that Hindenburg and Ludendorff got the credit for the victories.
