John Hamilton

Hamilton was born in England, then his family emigrated to Australia when he was 8. He served with the Royal Australian Navy, then became a newspaperman, working as a reporter and foreign correspondent for more than 40 years. He served as both White House Correspondent and London Bureau Chief for the Herald and Weekly Times Group. He wrote a number of books about Gallipoli and those who served there.
