Laila Parsons
Parsons was a historian specialising in the modern Middle East. She received her doctorate from St. Antony's College, Oxford in 1996 and became Associate Professor of History and Islamic Studies at McGill University in Montreal. Previously she had taught at Yale and Harvard. Her personal research focused on the Israeli - Palestinian conflict and she had published widely in this area.
