Ian Black
Black was Middle East editor of The Guardian until 2016. In over 35 years he was also the paper's Jerusalem Correspondent, Diplomatic Editor, European Editor, and Chief Foreign Editorial Writer. He then became a Visiting Senior Fellow at the London School of Economics.
He had written a number of books on the Middle East and he appeared regularly on radio and television.
