Jonathan Boff
Boff was Reader in History and War Studies at the University of Birmingham, where he taught courses on conflict. He specialised in the First World War. His book "Winning and Losing on the Western Front" (CUP, 2012) was shortlisted for the Templar Medal and for the British Army Book of the Year Award.
He was educated at Merton College, Oxford, and The Department of War Studies at Kings College London.
He spent 20 years in the finance world before returning to Academe.
