Major Edwin Gibson MBE

Gibson was born in Port Said of British and Swiss parents. He was educated in the UK and volunteered for the British Army in 1941, passing through Sandhurst the following year. In 1944-45 he served in 63rd Medium Regiment RA from Normandy to the Baltic. He retired from the Army in 1960, and then served for 25 years with the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
