Martin Stephen
Stephen wrote his doctoral thesis on literary and historical aspects of the First World War and that, together with 10 years additional research, led to the publication of his widely acclaimed anthology of First World War poetry, "Never Such Innocence". That is also the title of his play about the war, premiered in London at Australia House. He was the author of 14 books on literature and naval history and was a regular contributor to numerous magazines and journals.
