Jean-Michel Verraneman

Verraneman was a Belgian professional diplomat with a distinguished career and a keen interest in history. He served in embassies in Germany, at the UN in New York, at the EU and NATO in Brussels, and then as ambassador to Mozambique, Portugal, Israel, Brazil and finally the UK. He had served in the Belgian Army. He came to realise how little was known about his country's involvement and its role in the War. The book we have in the Collection is intended to correct this by providing a balanced, factual and objective record.
