Julie Phillips

Phillips had a 14 year career as a nurse, which started her interest in nursing in the war, particularly the role of the VADs. She then read a postcard and letter written in 1918 by her husband's Great Uncle Fred to his sister Gertie, and she then knew that she had to discover more about the people who fought in the Great war, and their families who stayed at home.
