Robert O'Neill AO

O'Neill made the first of several visits to the Gallipoli battlefields in 1963 and subsequently taught and analysed the Dardanelles Campaign during the course of his distinguished career as a historian and strategic analyst. He had occupied the Chichele Chair of Military History at Oxford University from 1987 until 2001. He was a prolific author on military history.
