Professor Samuel R. Williamson Jr

Williamson was a Professor of History and Vice-Chancellor and President Emeritus of the University of the South. He wrote frequently about the causes of the First World War, while offering courses on intelligence and foreign policy of the twentieth century. He also wrote on Austria-Hungary before the war. He had held teaching posts at Harvard and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before moving to the University of the South.
