Professor Niall Barr
Barr was Professor of Military History at the Defence Studies Department, King's College London, based at the Joint Services Command and Staff College, Defence Academy UK.
He was educated at the University of St. Andrews and had previously taught there and at the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst.
His main research interest was the fighting methods of the British Army in the Twentieth Century.
