Professor Kirsty Duncan MP
At the time of writing her book on the Longyearbyen Expedition (see "Medical" category, sub-category "Spanish Flu Pandemic") Duncan was an Adjunct Professor at the University of Windsor teaching Medical Geography. She had previously taught at the University of Toronto, where she had been an Associate Professor of Health Studies; and where she had taken her undergraduate degree before gaining her Ph.D. at the University of Edinburgh. She later became a Liberal Member of Parliament and eventually she became the Deputy Leader of the Government in the House of Commons, having previously served as Minister of Sport and Personal Disabilities.RCC7964 Hunting the 1918 Flu.
