Jonathan Porter
Porter left school at the age of 16 and joined the Royal Marines. His career in the military involved his being on the front line many times, and sometimes behind enemy lines.
After his service ended, he became an amateur military historian, it has to be said that there are very few of those who self publish such a magnificent book as "Zero Hour Z Day" (q.v.)
