Commander David Hobbs
Hobbs served in the Royal Navy from 1964 until 1997, retiring with the rank of Commander. He was qualified as both a fixed and rotary wing pilot, with 2,300 flying hours involving about 800 carrier landings, 150 of them at night. After retiring from the navy, he was Curator of the Fleet Air Arm Museum in Yeovilton. Latterly, he lectured and appeared on radio and TV in several countries.
