Christophe Prochasson

Prochasson specialised in the political and cultural history of France in the 19th and 20th centuries. He devoted many works to the history of the Left in France, and to the First World War. He was Editor of the Ecole des Hautes en Sciences Sociales (School of Higher Studies in Social Studies) from 2007 to 2013, and in September 2015 he was appointed as Advisor to President Francois Hollande for Education, Higher Education and Research.
