Dr Richard W Harrison
Harrison earned his undergraduate and master's degrees from Georgetown University, where he specialised in Russian Area Studies. He later earned his doctorate in War Studies at King's College London.
He was also an exchange student in the former Soviet Union, and spent several years living and working in post communist Russia.
He had also taught Military History at the US Military Academy at West Point.
