James Hurst

Hurst was born in Western Australia and he gained a BSc degree in Biochemistry and Microbiology from the University of Western Australia and then gained his PhD from the Australian National University in Canberra on "Dissecting a Legend: Reconstructing the Landing at Anzac Gallipoli on 25th April 1915". HE wrote a history of the Australian 11th Infantry Battalion at Gallipoli, and later authored other books and articles on this sector of military history.
