Major Andrew Dewar Gibb

Dewar Gibb was a member of the Scottish Bar in 1914. He joined the Royal Scots Fusiliers and spent his war with that regiment, reaching the rank of Major. After the war's end, he resumed his legal career and practised as a barrister in England. In 1929 he became a Lecturer in Law at Edinburgh University, then from 1931 to 1934 he was a Law Lecturer at Cambridge University. He took Silk later. He was also a founder=member of the Scottish National Party.
