Professor Iain Macintyre

Macintyre was formerly a surgeon in Edinburgh and Vice-President of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh during its 500th Anniversary Celebrations. He served as surgeon to the Queen in Scotland until he retired in 2004. He wrote on the history of medicine on his retirement.
