Professor Joshua D. Zimmerman

Zimmerman was born in 1966. He graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 1989 with a BA in History. He was then awarded an MA in History from the University of California, Los Angeles and then a Ph.D. in Comparative History from Brandeis University in February 1998. He moved to Yeshiva University in 2004 and was appointed to the Eli and Diana Zborowski Professorial Chair in Holocaust Studies and East European Jewish History at the University. He was the author/editor of several books about the Holocaust as well as the Pilsudski biography.
