There is an Introduction by Manfred Rommel, the Author's son.
This book was written by Rommel and first published in 1937, when Rommel was a lieutenant-colonel, under the title "Infanterie Greift an: Erlebnisse und Erfahrungen", by Ludwig Voggenreiter Verlag, Potsdam.
The first English version was in 1944 by The Infantry Journal, Washington D.C.
