The Road to En-Dor: Being an Account of How Two Prisoners of War at Yozgad in Turkey Won Their Way to Freedom

This is a Third Edition! Illustrations were by Lieutenant C.W. Hill, RAF. This book was written by the two main protagonists. The researcher should also look at what is a modern "companion" book - "The Confidence Men" by Margalit Fox (q.v.), which describes their story from a different point of view. However, we believe that this modern book both complements the original story, and also helps our understanding of the workings of the Ottoman Empire during the war, as it were "on the ground". For instance, this modern book gives us a lot of information on the POW system in Anatolia at the time, identifying where the camps were and so on. Apart from that, the modern book is a very good read.
