Dover and the Great War

£25.00 01 May 2014
Alfred Leney & Co Ltd , Dover (1921)
This is the story of Dover in the war. It is heavily weighted towards the military history, but nevertheless it is about Dover, the town, and in what ways it contributed to the war effort. Clearly there is much reference to the naval presence - the Dover Patrol, the story of HMS Invincible and the Zeebrugge Raid, and so on. There is a presentation inscription on the flyleaf from a director of the publishers, who were, interestingly, local brewers! This is a First Edition.
