There are chapters on railways, water transport, munitions manufacture, steel, small arms, the development of the internal combustion engine, tracked vehicle development (e.g. tanks), shipbuilding, flight pioneers, mining and associated occupations, textiles, and agriculture. There are some very interesting photographs in the book as well
