This book has a sub-title as follows: "How the submarine menace was met and vanquished, with descriptions of the inventions and devices used, fast boats, mystery ships, nets, aircraft, etc; also describing the selection and training of the enormous personnel used in this new branch of the Navy". This gives a good picture of what the book is about. There are many diagrams, illustrations, and particularly photographs in the book, which on their own are worthy of study.
