Greek Memories
The original version of this book was first published in 1932. It was immediately banned and the publishers, Cassell, were advised politely that they should withdraw it, an invitation they felt they could not refuse. The problem was that Mackenzie named names and reproduced at least parts of secret documents in the text. SIS declared "there is scarcely a page of this book which does not damage the foundations of secrecy upon which the Secret Service is built". The book was eventually published in a wholly expurgated version. The original unexpurgated version remains banned - but then that is what this version is. See you in clink!
