The World's War

This is an important and relevant study of how what was, originally, a European war became a multi-national, multi-racial, struggle fought in Africa and Asia as well, and indeed in many more far-flung corners of the world. The war pulled in men and resources from across the globe, to make it truly the very first "world war".
