Kilts Across The Jordan: Being Experiences and Impressions with the Second Battalion "London Scottish" in Palestine
There is a Preface by Field Marshal Viscount Allenby, GCB, GCMG.
This is not so much a regimental history as a well written account of this battalion's time in Palestine, starting with landing at Alexandria, progressing to the Palestine front and taking part in the campaigns, including the taking of Jerusalem, until the Armistice. The author was an Other Ranks, one of the battalion scouts.
This book could have been categorised in "Personal Accounts" but the nature of the narrative points to Regimental Histories instead. There are plenty of interesting photographs and also some very useful maps.
