This is a comprehensive account, covering subjects like China's relationship with Japan in the war; China as a country in wartime; the Labour Corps which did so much on the Western Front; and what happened after the war. The book is carefully written, and contains many photographs. This subject is distinctly lacking in coverage, and yet the Chinese contribution to the Western Front was massive. The book was co-authored by Christopher Arnander.
