This is the story of the battle which took place between 31st August and 5th September 1918, when the Australians took the "unattackable" Mont St Quentin, and the "invincible" fortress town of Peronne. The book has been carefully researched and it is well written; it is careful in stressing what worthy adversaries the Germans were.
